New Greenhouse Opening! Welcome Spring with Baker's Ace Hardware

Spring has sprung, Monroe! And with it comes a burst of color, life, and a brand-new addition to our beloved Baker's Ace Hardware family: our dazzling greenhouse! Opening its doors at the beginning of May 2024, our greenhouse is your one-stop-shop for all things vibrant, green, and blooming. From hanging baskets to flats, from juicy vegetables to perennial favorites, we've got it all, and we can't wait to share the joy of gardening with you.

Let's dive into the rainbow of flora awaiting you in our greenhouse oasis:

Petunias: These charming, trumpet-shaped blooms come in a plethora of colors, from soft pastels to bold hues. Petunias are sun-lovers, so make sure to place them where they can bask in the sunshine for at least six hours a day. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and pinch off spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering throughout the season.

Geraniums: With their classic clusters of flowers, geraniums add a timeless elegance to any garden. These beauties thrive in full sun to partial shade and prefer well-drained soil. Water them deeply when the soil feels dry to the touch, and be sure to deadhead regularly to promote new growth and flowering.

Daylilies: Known for their vibrant colors and resilience, daylilies are a must-have for any garden. Plant them in a spot with full sun to part shade and well-draining soil. Water deeply once a week, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Remove spent flower stalks to encourage reblooming and tidy appearance.

Impatiens: Perfect for adding a pop of color to shady spots, impatiens are versatile and low-maintenance. Plant them in well-drained soil in a location with dappled sunlight or partial shade. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and pinch back leggy growth to encourage bushiness and more flowers.

Gerbers: These cheerful daisies come in a kaleidoscope of colors and are sure to brighten up any garden bed or container. Plant them in full sun and well-drained soil, and water them deeply whenever the soil feels dry to the touch. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to prolong flowering and maintain a tidy appearance.

Waves: Cascading in waves of color, these trailing beauties are perfect for hanging baskets and containers. Place them in a sunny spot and water them thoroughly whenever the soil feels dry. Fertilize them regularly to promote vigorous growth and abundant flowering.

Pansies: With their charming "faces" and cool-weather tolerance, pansies are early spring favorites. Plant them in well-drained soil in a location with full sun to part shade. Keep the soil consistently moist and deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.

Dahlias: These show-stopping blooms come in a stunning array of colors, shapes, and sizes, making them a favorite among flower enthusiasts. Plant dahlias in full sun and well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Water them deeply once a week, and stake tall varieties for support.

Ferns: With their graceful fronds and lush green foliage, ferns add an enchanting touch to shaded gardens. Plant them in well-drained soil in a location with filtered sunlight or shade. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and mist the foliage regularly to maintain humidity.

With proper care and a little TLC, your garden will be bursting with color and life all season long. So, mark your calendars and join us at Baker's Ace Hardware as we celebrate the opening of our new greenhouse. Let's make this spring the most vibrant and beautiful one yet!
